(Reading, PA) -- People in Berks County are looking forward to having an easier travel option to Philadelphia after Amtrak revealed its Connect US plans. The company announced the plans this past Wednesday, and according to the Amtrak's Connect US map, there will be a new rail that connects Reading to Philadelphia. It will be the first time the two cities will link via train since 1981 when SEPTA stopped running passenger trains. Amtrak officials say the project to grow rail service across the country will be underway for the next 15 years.
