(Muhlenberg Township, PA) -- Berks County D.A. John Adams is claiming a Muhlenberg Township police officer was justified in a fatal shooting that happened last month.
Adams announced yesterday that the officer's use of deadly force against Stephen Hughes was warranted to protect the safety of himself and another officer. The shooting happened last month at a home in the 700-block of Wagon Wheel Lane. Authorities say Hughes rushed at the officers with a knife while they were trying to apprehend him.
