(Reading, PA) -- Berks County commissioners are starting to allocate COVID-19 relief funding to hospitality businesses around the area. The commissioners voted yesterday to approve of a resolution on how to give out the almost three-and-a-half-million-dollars in funding from the COVID Hospitality Industry Recovery Program. Officials say more than 110 businesses, including hotels, motels, taverns and restaurants, were awarded grants worth about ten-to-50-thousand-dollars. The next round of applications begins Mondaym and the deadline is set for May 17th at 5:00 p.m.
