(Reading, PA) -- Alvernia University is teaming up with the Reading Royals to help students gain more experience in the entertainment industry. The new program is through the university's O'Pake Institute for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship's student-run lab. Officials say Alvernia students will be working with the Royals' management team to create traditional and digital marketing materials.

(Reading, PA) -- Berks County is offering young adults several paid work opportunities. The United Way of Berks County is teaming up with the Young Adult Program at P-A CareerLink to provide creative ways for young adults to start their careers and gain work experience. The program is expected to begin in late-July, and it will be continuing through early-November. Applications are now being accepted through the Young Adult Program at P-A CareerLink Berks County.

>>Two Winning State Lottery Powerball Tickets Sold In Lancaster County

(Elizabethtown, PA) -- Two people in Lancaster County are going to be a whole lot richer to kick off the summer season. The Pennsylvania Lottery announced yesterday that a one-hundred-thousand-dollar winning Powerball ticket was sold at the Turkey Hill on 23-95 South Market Street in Elizabethtown. A Lottery Cash Five ticket worth 425-thousand-dollars was also sold at the Turkey Hill on 13-49 Millersville Pike. The two lucky winners are being asked to sign the back of their tickets and contact the local state lottery office to claim their prizes.

(Reading, PA) -- One person is recovering at the hospital after a shooting broke out in Reading. The shooting happened yesterday afternoon in the 200-block of Mulberry Street. The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with any information on the incident is being asked to contact Crime Alert Berks County.

>>Kutztown Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Seven-Year-Old Girl

(Kutztown, PA) -- A Kutztown man is being accused of sexually abusing a seven-year-old girl. Authorities confirmed recently that 52-year-old Paul William Herman is being identified as the alleged perpetrator in abusing the child inside a home in January. He was arrested yesterday and is facing several charges including aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, endangering welfare of children and corruption of minors. Officials say Herman was the boyfriend of the victim's grandmother during the time of the abuse.
