(Reading, PA) -- Berks County officials and doctors are coming together to address the growing problem of child lead poisoning in the area. According to a new report released from Fight Crime: Invest In Kids, Berks County has the third-highest number of children poisoned by lead in the state, which is about 500 kids a year. Officials say the county has applied for 80-million-dollars in American Rescue grant money that will be used to help fix the issue.
