(Reading, PA) -- The City of Reading is making an effort towards helping the Fightin' Phils stay at FirstEnergy Stadium. Officials announced recently that the city is offering the team three-million-dollars towards much-needed stadium upgrades. A resolution regarding the contribution is expected to be brought up during a meeting this coming Monday. The Reading Fightin Phils must complete the stadium upgrades by opening day of 2023 in order for the team to stay in the city.
