(Scranton, PA)Â --Â Amtrak is looking into the possibility of expanding the state's passenger rail service to connect Scranton to New York City. Amtrak partnered with the Pennsylvania Northeast Regional Railroad Authority to study this possibility, which would take a year to complete. Some commuters who work in New York say they're having to spend four-hours a day on a bus to get to work since transportation options are limited.
