>Reading Gets $400,000 For Courtyard Project
(Reading, PA) -- The project by Reading to improve the Penn Street South Courtyard is getting a 400-thousand-dollar boost from the state. The Keystone Communities Program has given the city the grant to pay for improvements like lighting, landscaping, drainage, and seating. The program is also awarding 50-thousand-dollars to Berks Alliance and 25-grant to West Reading Community Revitalization Foundation. Those grants will help pay for façade improvements in Reading and West Reading.
