(Caernarvon Township, PA) -- Penn National Gaming is looking to hire 375 people for its Hollywood Casino Morgantown in Caernarvon Township. The company announced the job openings Tuesday and says they are offering signing bonuses for new employees of up to 15-hundred dollars. The 111-million-dollar casino is expected to be open by the end of the year.

(Oley Township, PA) -- Threats against school board members in Oley Valley have resulted in an increased police presence at the schools. Central Berks Regional Police Chief Ray Sarafin says the threats came from someone through social media who was mad about the governor's mask mandate for schools. He says officers will remain at all schools and school board meetings indefinitely. No charges have been filed as yet.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A 1992 murder of a Berks County cab driver remains unsolved after over 29 years and police say they still need tips. Dominic Martorana was stabbed 39 times and had his throat slit when he was found in March 1992. His cab was found about nine hours before his body, with the vehicle found burning in Lower Alsace Township. Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering up to ten-thousand-dollars in reward money for information resulting in an arrest.

(Lancaster, PA) -- The drowning death of a four-month-old baby in a motel bathtub has led to the arrest of the baby's parents. Twenty-seven-year-old David Meadows was arrested Friday and 29-year-old Amy Manning is jailed in Nashville, Tennessee. Police were sent to the Roadway Inn in Paradise Township after the baby drowned. The parents told police they would leave the baby alone in the tub while they got other kids ready for school.

(Reading, PA) -- The 20th anniversary of Santander Arena in Reading has been marked. A ceremony was held yesterday to document its early struggles in becoming an anchor in the city. Berks County Convention Center Authority chairman Michael Ehlerman played a big role in getting the arena and says the biggest lesson he learned was the need for massive public and private sector cooperation.
