(Undated) -- Here's the latest news: Danene Sorace has been re-elected as Lancaster's Mayor. Police continue their search for a missing Lancaster County woman who they say hasn't been seen or heard from since she left her home Monday morning. The Pennsylvania Department of Health reports a little over 31-hundred new cases of COVID-19 as of Tuesday.

(Lancaster, PA) -- Danene Sorace has handily won another term to serve as Lancaster's Mayor. The Democrat defeated challenger Willie E. Shell Senior by nearly 27-hundred votes. Sorace was elected first elected to serve as the city's mayor in 2018 and is the second woman to hold the post. Prior to serving as Mayor, she served a four-year term on the City Council, where she chaired the finance committee.

(Lancaster, PA) -- Police continue their search for a missing Lancaster County woman whom they say hasn't been seen or heard from since she left her home Monday morning. Jennifer Herr drove away from her house in the 100 block of South President Avenue in Lancaster, in her dark gray 2012 Toyota Prius sedan. The car was found Monday night at County Central Park, in West Lampeter Township, where police teams are searching. Herr is white, about 5'7 and weighs about 120 lbs. She has brown, reddish hair and brown eyes. Both the Manheim and West Lampeter police departments are investigating.

(Lancaster, PA) -- A Lancaster man will spend the rest of his life in prison after his sentencing for a shooting two years ago. Raymond Lydell Speller was found guilty in May in the shooting death of Pedro Almodovar [[ all-moe-DOUGH-vahr ]] in the 300 block of Howard Avenue in 2019. Lancaster County Judge Jeffrey Wright sentenced him last Friday to life plus seven and a half to 20 years. After he learned his fate, Speller apologized to the victim's family, stating he was not in his right state of mind when the shooting happened. 

>>Soldier Extradited To PA For Alleged Sexual Social Media Contact With Minor Girl

(Mount Joy Township, PA) -- An active-duty soldier stationed in Louisiana has been extradited back to Pennsylvania after he reportedly sexually harassed a 13-year-old girl on social media. Northwest Regional Police Detective Chuck Tobias received a complaint about Ian Jones repeatedly contacting a 13-year-old girl from Mount Joy Township through social media. Jones had been stationed at Fort Polk Army Base. Police allege even though he knew the girl's age, he still tried to solicit sexual videos and sexual contact from her. He's being held in the Lancaster Co. jail on 100-thousand dollars' bond.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Department of Health reports a little over 31-hundred new cases of COVID-19 as of Tuesday. The statewide total now stands at more than one and a half million cases. State officials say currently, there are just over 27-hundred people hospitalized with the virus, with 653 in intensive care. There have also been 78 more deaths, bringing the statewide total to just under 32-thousand since the pandemic began.
