>>Labor Officials Upbeat About Continuing Drop In State's Unemployment Rate

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Pennsylvania's unemployment rate is down two-tenths of a percentage point for the second month in a row. State authorities say that drop indicates that 12 thousand Pennsylvania workers have either found work or fallen off the unemployment rolls. That reportedly brings the state's official unemployed rate down to 6.2% from September's figure of 6.4%. One year ago, the same figure stood at well above seven percent.
