(Reading PA) -- The Reading Recreation Commission and its executive director are facing a federal lawsuit from the father of an eleven-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted by a former employee. Twenty-two-year-old Austin Quigg pleaded guilty in October 2020 to the assault and was sentenced to up to two-years in prison and 15-years of probation. The lawsuit alleges the girl's constitutional rights were violated with Quigg exchanging explicit videos, photos, and messages with her. The father is seeking at least 150-thousand-dollars in compensatory damages.

(Caernarvon, PA) -- Police are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash inLancasterCounty Saturday morning. A 16-year-old from Mohnton in Berks County lost control on a bike and hit a mailbox and a utility pole. The crash happened just before eight a.m. and remains under investigation.

(Lancaster, PA) -- Damage to a menorah on Penn Square in downtownLancasteris under investigation. Police say it was damaged either Friday night or Saturday morning. The menorah had been placed Friday and police were called to the scene around 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Surveillance video is being reviewed.

(Reading, PA) -- Eastbound Route 12 was closed for about 45 minutes in Reading on Sunday. A crash between up to five vehicles shut the lanes down near Carpenter Technology just before 2:30 p.m. One person was hurt. Police reopened the highway just after three p.m.

(Hereford Township, PA) -- An autopsy of a ten-year-old Berks County boy has confirmed his death in Hereford Township on Thanksgiving was from a gunshot wound. The Lehigh County Coroner's Office says the death is still under investigation by state police and the Berks County district attorney. The boy was shot Thursday.
