>>Lancaster Tree Lighting Ceremony Held Thursday

(Lancaster, PA) -- Lancaster's holiday tree will be lit in a celebration on December 3rd in Penn Square. The 25-foot, 15-hundred-pound spruce arrived November 22nd from Kelly Rhineer's front yard in Quarryville. Kelly and her husband, Bill, bought the tree at auction 15 years ago, but after he passed away last year, Kelly offered the tree to the city in honor of her husband. The Mayor will flip the switch for the ornaments during the lighting ceremony.

>> "Carnival Of Lights" Kicks Off in Pottstown

(Pottstown, PA) -- A display of 250-thousand Christmas lights is now off and running in Pottstown. The Carnival of Lights event offers holiday and carnival food, visits with Santa, games, and amusement rides that are all lit up in a festive spirit. The display and activities are offered at the Norco Fire Company on West Schuylkill Road. The "Carnival Of Lights" runs until January first - with a fireworks display set for New Year's Eve. Tickets are 14-dollars for adults and ten dollars for kids ages four to 12.
