(Boyerstown,PA) -- A 15-year-old boy is recovering in a local hospital after he was shot in the face in eastern Berks County. Emergency officials say crews were dispatched shortly after midnight Saturday to the four-hundred-block of Landis Store Road in Pike Township for reports of gunfire. When they arrived, the victim was found at the scene with a gunshot wound to the jaw and rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Officials say the gunshot came from a .22-caliber weapon. The circumstances of the shooting aren't currently known.
