>>Berks County Emergency Chief Wants People To Use The Hospital Responsibly

(Reading, PA) -- The head of Berks' County's emergency management office says people need to use the hospital responsibly during a surge in coronavirus hospitalizations. Director of emergency services Brian Gottschall yesterday said hospitals and emergency rooms are crowded with coronavirus and flu patients. He told people not to go to either for routine care. He also told people that taking an ambulance will not get them treated any faster. He said people need to take care of their own health, and 'protect' hospitals and care centers in and around Reading.
