>>Reading Man Sentenced to Nearly 20 years in Prison for Home Drug Operation
(Reading, PA) -- A 33-year-old Reading man has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for running an illegal drug operation out of his home. United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams announced that Luis Gomez also was ordered to pay a two-thousand-dollar fine. His main sentence is for possessing a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine, running a drug operation and being a prior felon possessing a loaded pistol. Gomez was arrested in September of 2019 after an FBI sting in the Reading area. He was sentenced Monday. Five other defendants were also arrested in connection with the investigation.
