(Heidelberg Township, PA) - One man has died after his car collided with a Mack Truck on Route 501 in Lebanon County Monday afternoon. Pennsylvania State Police says the accident happened when the man, who was driving a Nissan Altima, crossed the double yellow line while going into a curve. The vehicle continued into the southbound lane where it collided with a Mack Truck. The 73-year-old male driver of the Nissan was trapped in the wrecked and freed by first responders. He was flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center where he died. The driver of the Mack Truck suffered a minor injury but refused to go to the hospital. State Police say both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
