>>Pennsylvania National Guard Ends COVID-91 Response Mission
(Lebanon, PA) -- The Pennsylvania National Guard has completed its mission aiding health care workers with COVID-19. Major General Mark Schindler said after a two-year mission, Guard members were standing down to return to pre-pandemic duties. Officials said soldiers tested more than 32-thousand residents and staff at long-term care facilities, supported over 20 COVID-19 vaccination sites, and helped people who had been quarantined following a coronavirus outbreak on a cruise ship. General Schindler praised the Guard members who rose and met a challenge during an unprecedented time.
