(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvanian State and Capitol Police say they are preparing to send ballistic equipment to Ukraine to aid their defense against the Russian military. Officials say once federally approved, the ballistic vests and helmets will be sent to the Vermont State Police, who are coordinating these shipments to Ukraine. Around 90 used vests will be donated by the PSP, with another two dozen vests and over a dozen helmets coming from the PA Capitol Police. PSP Colonel Robert Evanchick said the equipment had been replaced with new items and would be sent as aid to Ukraine instead of being destroyed.
