(State College, PA) -- Pennsylvania customers using the Uber and Lyft rideshare services are no longer required to wear masks. Uber announced today that it was dropping its face-covering requirement after a Florida judge struck down a federal mask mandate for public transportation. Uber says masks are no longer required for riders or drivers, but the CDC still recommends masks for those with at-risk health issues or in areas of high transmission rates. Uber's rideshare competitor Lyft announced shortly after Uber they were also revising their policy to no longer require masks.
