(Reading, PA) -- Reading residents who commute into Philadelphia have let their voices be heard about a proposal to extend Amtrak service in the area. Montgomery County commissioners got to hear Wednesday how the population has increased so much along Route 422 that the area could easily sustain train service. The service restoration is feasible because federal funding is now available to support it.
