(Reading, PA) -- Plans are being made to convert a former public swimming pool in Reading into a neighborhood parking lot. The city owned East Reading Pool on South 14th and 1/2 Street has been closed for several years. The plans call for a lot of more than 60 spaces replacing the pool, with the rental charge of around 30-dollars a month for a spot. The cost of converting the site to a parking lot will be around 750-thousand-dollars, with much of that cost for a new retaining wall.
