(Reading, PA) -- Berks County Commissioners have approved the operating license for BARTA for another 50 years. They voted Thursday to amend the articles of incorporation for the Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority. State law mandates that all authorities formed by city governments can only operate 50 years before they need to be renewed.
