>>Ideas Advanced at School Safety and Security Discussion
(Reading, PA) -- Members of the Berks County's law enforcement, government and education communities have been exchanging ideas at a school safety roundtable. The event Thursday afternoon was closed to the public but some members expressed hope afterward about advancing safety issues that had been thought about for some time. District Attorney John Adams says his office has worked with educators on all sorts of safety issues, from drugs to preparing for the possibility of a school shooting. Mental health issues reportedly were also one of the biggest topics of the meeting.
