(Reading, PA) -- The Reading City Council is getting behind a proposal to hire nearly 40 teens in a new city internship program. The program, if approved by the full council, would be paid for with part of a million dollars in federal ARPA funds that have been set aside for anti-violence initiatives. The council will introduce an ordinance creating the internship program at its next meeting on Monday.
