(Reading, PA) -- The Reading City Council is hearing suggestions for parking initiatives in the city. Community Development Director Jamal Abodalo says one idea they're looking at involves installing parking pads in people's back yards that have rear alley access. Pads could provide an open area of land that's paved to park cars. Abodalo says his department is asking the council to allocate a million dollars for the project. A zoning amendment would have to be adopted for the pads to be built.
