(Reading, PA) -- The Berks County Commissioners have approved an allocation of 450-thousand-dollars of county funds to promote tourism. The money comes from IMAGINE Berks economic development plan. Officials with Pennsylvania's Americana Region, the visitors bureau for Berks County, say the organization will use the money to boost Berks County's identity by refreshing a marketing campaign, launching a new tourism website and creating several trail apps.
