>>New Orleans Woman Pleads Guilty to Death of Pottsville Jeweler in 2019

(New Orleans, LA) -- The woman accused of killing Pottsville jeweler Patrick Murphy in New Orleans over three years ago has plead guilty to his death. Online court records show a week before her trial was set to begin, Megan Hall agreed to manslaughter in the case, an amendment to the original charge of second-degree manslaughter. A spokesman for the Orleans Parish Sheriff's office says the 28-year-old was sentenced to 25 years in prison with all but 10 years suspended - so she'll only have to serve 10 years because of that.
