(Updated) -- Keystone Staters continue to pay above-average prices at the pump. As reported by Triple-A, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded fell slightly on Friday to settle at four dollars, 49 cents. That's almost a quarter above the corresponding national average, which dropped slightly on Friday to a little over four 25. Texas stands above the other 49 states with a lowest-in-the-nation price at the pump of three bucks, 76 cents. Meanwhile, California motorists pay most at the pump. Yesterday's average fell to around five bucks, 64 cents.
