(Reading, PA) -- Two insecticides are being study to try to control spotted lanternflies at Blue Marsh Lake. A news release by Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences says their investigation aims to protect natural resources. The invasive insect from Asia was discovered in North America in Berks in 2014 and has since spread to nearly 50 counties in Pennsylvania, plus many mid-Atlantic states.
