(Reading, PA) -- A Berks County planning committee has approved a four-year proposal for road and transit upgrades. The Reading Area Transportation Study Coordinating Committee gave the okay Monday to spending over 300-million-dollars for fixing roads and providing bus corridor improvements for Lancaster Avenue. The planners say key projects for the program are several years off and most of the specific proposals are still on the drawing board.
