(Reading, PA) -- Four friends who grew up together in Reading public housing have developed a non-profit to support kids who live in their old neighborhood. The Oakbrook Youth Foundation event Saturday involved a "Back to School Giveaway" on the Oakbrook playground. Several small, local businesses, many of them owned by their friends, sponsored the event, which featured food, a bounce house, free haircuts and book bags filled with school supplies. The organizers say another event is planned for October.
