(Irving, TX) -- The National Transportation Safety Board wants all new cars to be equipped with a device that prevents drunk driving. Alex Otte, who heads Mothers Against Drunk Driving, is excited about that. She says studies show that passive technology could save thousands of lives a year. Otte believes it could supplant the clunky method that requires drivers to breathe into a tube. Technology could also detect swerving and speeding.
