(Reading, PA) -- A Berks County jury has acquitted a box truck driver who continued to drive onward after hitting and killing a man and his dog. The early-morning accident killed Robert "Lynn" Hatt, who was 67, and his dog as they were crossing Route 422 in August of last year. Two other vehicles that were following Todd Frey, including a tanker truck, also ran over the pair on the dark road. Frey, who is from York County, faced a felony charge of accident involving death or personal injury and failing to render aid. Surveillance video from a nearby business showed Hatt apparently was bent down when he was hit.
