(Reading, PA) -- Pending legislation for Monday night's city council meeting in Reading includes discussion of raises for city leaders. The mayor's salary would increase to 99-thousand-dollars next year and go up three-thousand-dollars for four years afterward. A raise is proposed for the city auditor as well on a similar basis, starting with 80-thousand-dollars next year. City councilors would also get a three-thousand-dollar raise to eight-thousand-dollars per year. The council president is also set for a raise.
