(Reading, PA) -- The 129th state legislative district in Reading could look different next year as its two candidates are running in a newly-redrawn district. Some political watchdogs say that change could create opportunities for the district to flip to the democratic side as it had been strongly Republican previously. The area now has a 53 percent majority of Democrats. The 129th is an open seat because Republican Representative Jim Cox of Berks is retiring.
