(Reading, PA) -- Reading city leaders say they have to raise waste fees for curbside collections because their contractor's annual contract has increased. City council members approved an ordinance Monday night to raise fees by three percent next year. The annual cost will increase to 340-dollars for city l customers. The cost will continue to include fees for solid waste, recycling, the annual "clean city" surcharge for yard waste, tires and electronics, as well as an annual administrative charge.
