(Reading, PA) -- Officials at Alvernia University in Reading are celebrating after being given what they say is the largest grant in school history. The Pennsylvania Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program awarded the university seven and a half million dollars for its Reading CollegeTowne campus in center city. School leaders say the money will be used to add a physician associate program and a community clinic, as well as to add additional engineering tracks and expand downtown housing.
