(Reading, PA) -- The opening of a new Amtrak bus service linking Reading with Pottstown and Philadelphia has been officially commemorated. Though the route started in June, Amtrak officials and other area leaders held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the service Thursday morning. Reading Mayor Eddie Morán says the bus is only the start of passenger rail service returning to the region. About 32-hundred people have used the service so far and officials say they're optimistic about its growth.
