(Reading, PA) -- The city of Reading is offering a new, free program for residents to learn how to ice skate. The series begins Thursday and continues for several weeks at the Santander Arena. The project is offered by the city's parks department in collaboration with the Reading Royals hockey team. If enough interest is generated, city leaders say the free indoor sessions could expand to outdoor skating events. Children must be accompanied by an adult and registration is required.
