>> Judge Lowers Bail for Georgia Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Boys

(Reading, PA) -- Bail has been reduced for a Georgia man charged with sexually assaulting boys in the 1990s while living in the Hamburg area. State Attorney General Josh Shapiro's office says the charges against Jesse J. Hill stem from a grand jury investigation. Hill is alleged to have used his family's influence on children as a leader of the Jehovah's Witnesses community during the 1990s. Hill's attorney had asked for his million-and-a-half-dollar-bail to be reduced because of the defendant's family's ties to the area. They own a multimillion-dollar machine manufacturing company headquartered in Hamburg. Hill's bail has been reduced to 750-thousand while he awaits trial in the Berks County jail.
