Bank Robbery Suspect Found Dead in Heidelberg Township
(Reading, PA) - State police are investigating a police standoff with a bank robbery suspect who was later found dead. They say the unidentified suspect was armed with a hunting rifle when he held up the Fulton Bank Tuesday. Troopers say no one was hurt during the robbery. On Wednesday afternoon, officers tried to serve an arrest warrant for the man at a home on Tulpehocken Forge Road and the situation escalated into a standoff. Police entered the home about three hours later to find one person dead. It's unclear if anyone else was home or whether anyone was arrested.
