Reading Skatepark Moves To Bidding Phase For New Project
(Reading, PA) -- Promoters for Reading's planned skatepark say their project has moved to the bidding phase. A social media posting by the Reading Skatepark Association says now that funding has been provided for the project planned for the 600 block of Canal Street, bids will soon be let for work to begin. The city is using funds from the American Rescue Plan Act to cover the cost. The bid package has been sent to the city's purchasing department and once approved there, it will be sent to the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for review.
