Suspect Arrested After Police Chase, Crash into Fire Truck
(Reading, PA) -- A Douglassville man is in custody after police say he led them on a high-speed chase and crashed into a fire truck. It started Monday evening with 27-year-old Michael Konchan reportedly being passed out in an SUV with the motor running in Oley Township. Police say he woke up when a first responder tried to turn off the vehicle and then led officers through parts of three municipalities. Police say he hit an Oley Fire Company truck and the fire chief's personal vehicle along the way. Police say they found several packs of fentanyl in his wallet when he was taken into custody.
