Accused Berks County Doc Charged With Murder For Hire
(Bern Township, PA) -- A Berks County doctor previously charged with child rape is now accused in a murder for hire case. Prosecutors say Justin Rutherford tried to hire someone to kill one of the alleged victims in his sex assault case. Rutherford allegedly wrote down the address and other personal information about the male teenager for the person he thought would be killing the victim. The 33-year-old former Amity Township resident is being held on more than five-million-dollars bail.
