Berks Hires Special Attorney To Help With Election Issues
(Reading, PA) -- The Berks County Election Board has appointed a local attorney to assist the county in working on cases involving election issues. The board approved the appointment late last week of local lawyer Jeff Bukowski as special counsel. Commissioner Michael Rivera said the appointment is temporary and will let Assistant County Solicitor Cody Kauffman work on other legal issues. He adds that the county is in the process of hiring someone for a permanent position who would specialize in election board issues and Right to Know requests.
