Operation Catch a Predator Results in 8 Arrests
(Reading, PA) - Detectives from Berks County's Human Trafficking Task Force have arrested eight people in an undercover sting. District Attorney John Adams says "Operation Catch a Predator" identified suspects who were looking for minors by utilizing sex apps on mobile phones. The suspects were arrested after they replied to ads on websites that officials say are commonly used for the sex trade. Adams says the victims don't often recognize themselves as victims. He says they're often either lured into it to sustain an addiction or because it affords them a certain type of lifestyle.
