School Board Approves New Contract for Reading's Teachers, School Staffers
(Reading, PA) -- The Reading School Board has approved a five-year collective bargaining agreement with the Reading Education Association. The contract approved Wednesday covers more than 12-hundred teachers, school counselors, social workers and nurses. It calls for a more than six percent salary increase in the first year and successive increases of five percent for the following four years. The new contract runs July 1st through June 20th of 2028.
