Tower Health Cutting 100 Jobs

(Reading, PA) -- Tower Health has confirmed it is cutting 100 full-time positions. In a statement Thursday, the health care provider said the cuts will save 12-million-dollars. The company says about 45 people will lose their jobs from a total workforce of just over 11-thousand. The other eliminated positions are from openings that won't be filled and people who are resigning or retiring. Tower Health operates Reading Hospital, as well as several other facilities in Berks, Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
