Nearly 80 People Laid Off at Santander Bank in Berks County
(Reading, PA) - Officials with Santander Bank have notified the state's labor and industry department that they're laying off nearly 80 employees in Berks County. A notice of the pending layoffs for the workers at the bank branch at 450 Penn Street was posted to the agency's website Tuesday. No effective date or specific details were provided. The bank's website says it has eight branch locations in Berks, in addition to locations in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.
